Your new Cordless Phone Batteries will arrive in a discharged, and must be charged before use. We recommend that you charge your Cordless Phone battery for a period of 24 hours before initial use. It is common for your charging cradle to indicate that your battery is fully charged after just 10 to 15 minutes; this is not the case, don‘t worry, this is normal with new rechargeable batteries. When this occurs, simply remove the battery from the phone and re-insert it; this should reset the charge cycle. It is possible that this may occur several times during the first charge period.
There are some famous cordless phone battery manufactures producing AT&T/Lucent Technologies, Bell Phone, Bell South, Casio Energizer GE/Sanyo, Maxell, Microsoft, Nippon, Philips and Sony etc. These batteries have some typical features which are not in other models. The handset must be returned periodically to the base unit for recharging, and the base unit must be physically connected to both a telephone line and an electrical outlet.
It is recommended that you fully discharge and then fully charge your battery every two to three weeks. To do this, simply remove the phone from its cradle until so it shuts down or you can get a ‘low battery‘indicator. Then return the phone to its charging cradle and leave until fully recharged. Keep contacts clean; use a pencil rubber or cotton swab to remove any dirt which may build up on the battery and device contacts.
Some replacement batteries are supplied with UNIVERSAL connectors, that is two Individual connectors that are combined together to make one connector. This is done by the manufacturers so that the same battery type can be used on many phones.
